Bench Lakes Day Ride

This ride is about four miles one way. The Bench Lakes day ride is the perfect ride for those who want an equal amount of time riding and relaxing at the lake. The ride is about two hours up through wooded and scenic terrain and enters the Sawtooth Wilderness. Riders will get the opportunity to see sections of forest that were affected by the Bench Lakes Fire in 2024 and see how the ecosystem responds and regenerates after major forest fires. The ride provides great views of Heyburn Peak, Grand Mogul, the White Cloud Mountains, and the upper end of the Sawtooth Valley. The trail will take you to the first two of the five Bench Lakes. On this all day ride you will have time to fish, hike, relax and explore the area around these lakes before you mount up for your two hour ride back to the corral.

No double riding permitted
Reservations are required for all day rides
Reservations are recommended for half day ride (and shorter)
